DT Industries operates and manages its production and logistics, via an in-process Kanban system seen as a central element of DT Industries policy of “Lean” manufacturing and JIT philosophy. DT Industries Kanban system provides its Clients with accurate live and current information, whether for their own production planning or piece of mind.
The DT Industries Kanban and JIT system simplifies its day-to-day changing Clients demands, such changes to the production and logistics schedules need only be given to the higher level or final assembly process / operation, to then, automatically work their way back up the line, reflecting any changes in speed or flow through the manufacturing process and hence its consequence to leadtime and whether increased or decreased. This information once processed and known can be tooled and reacted too, ensuring DT Industries basic philosophy of Client satisfaction and principals of JIT practices are both maintained and proven to be closely and continuously managed.
Packaging & Specifications
DT Industries can generally package most products to a known specification, whether blister packed, bagged, sealed and tagged, boxed, tumble boxed, strung or simply palletized and wrapped. Such final operations we pride ourselves on getting right and form part of the Company philosophy of providing a total solution to our Clients.
Palletising
DT Industries when packaging using pallets, can provide the best solution to meet our Clients needs, when cost driven we can select refurbished or recyled pallets, whether of a UK, Euro or square form. For our more specification driven Clients we can provide not only a cost effective solution but the relevant documentation or certification to support the shipment, whether we are using true Euro forms or generally plastic or yellow fumigated pallets for export purposes. We can also where necessary obtain certification and confirmation where new pallets are specified such that the wood used in their construction originated from a sustainable forest.
DT Industries also works in close partnership with its Clients ensuring any maximum pallet height restrictions in place are monitored and pallets are not over stacked.
When packaging using pallets DT Industries always ensures that the load will be safe during transit and any risk of toppling or load movement are restrained, this being achieved by either wrapping, banding or supporting the edges or even a combination all.
DT Industries always and where practicable ensure all pallets are of a 4 way design, this providing ease of internal movements and that or our Clients upon receipt.

Despatch / Delivery - Our Transport / Pallet Network
DT Industries whilst operating a small fleet of its own vehicles also utilizes the services of local pallet networks who offer both a next working day or economy (upto 3 days) services. Many of our Clients also use sub-contract curtain sided or box vehicles which we have the ability to load off-road, quickly and safely, this also applies to containers with limited loading and unloading times.
All dispatches from DT Industries are made with the relevant paper trail, whether UK or International, security clipped and logged as appropriate. Our knowledge of shipping both complex and heavy items, such as tooling or small machinery is well established and all our related staff are appropriately trained.
International Import & Export
DT Industries generally as reflected has a vast knowledge and experience in both exporting of finished goods throughout the world and importation of both part finished or finished goods into the UK. Such imports and exports and vary from individual packages or pallets, upto multiple container loads.
